Reinstatement of Structural integrity to prevent spalling from concrete structures or delamination within these structures is a specialised task undertaken by ACRP and is accomplished through injection of Low Viscosity Epoxy Resins through specially developed equipment into cracks, fractures, joints and other structural defects.
Low Viscosity epoxy resins cure quickly and are used in a wide application.
Projects have primarily included tunnels, Heritage listed buildings, concrete bridge structures, water containment facilities, multi storey shopping centre car-parks concrete columns etc.
Reinstatement of water tight integrity to prevent water egress from containment structures or water ingress into structures such as jet piling and steel sheet piling is a specialised task undertaken by ACRP and is accomplished through injection of both Hydrophobic and hydrophilic resins through specially developed equipment into both of these piling techniques.
Jet Piles are the ones that generally are in need of the injection process to help cope with the extra high water tables or lower down below the water table where the hydrostatic pressure becomes more of a problem, (Problem being that the excess water behind the piles saturates the substrate to a point where the piles begin to flow with excessive water beyond sweating. This generally occurs between the cold joint within the soft and hard piles and can be contained through the injection process.
Rarely needs this type of injection although we have been involved in such cases in the past.
