Waterstop Injection Systems

Reinstatement of water tight integrity to prevent water egress from containment structures or water ingress into structures is a specialised task undertaken by ACRP and is accomplished through injection of hydroactive resins through specially developed equipment into cracks, fractures, joints and other structural defects.

Hydroactive resins expand upon contact with water and quickly cure to form a foam or gel seal that is tough, flexible, hydrophobic and essentially non-corrodible. It can be injected directly into leaking cracks or joints, depending on the water flow pressure, to rapidly reduce or stop further water penetration. Where water flow is severe or ongoing structural movement is anticipated, the resin formula can be adjusted to react more rapidly or remain more flexible than is standard.

Projects have primarily included tunnels and precast concrete elements, shafts, lift pits, basements, chemical storage bunds, bridge structures, manholes and underground pipelines.
